-YATIYAWI MUSEUM-
BY: SAMUEL HILARI
SYNTHESIS-
The Interactive Living Museum Yatiyawi is designed to house exhibitions and workshops, providing new spaces for the El Getsemaní foundation, an organization that works with children and adolescents in the periurban neighborhood of Tilata, Viacha. The construction seeks to re-use and re-learn about materials and techniques that have a low CO2 emissions balance. The load-bearing walls are made of rammed earth made from local soil. The roof is made of wooden trusses, while the floor is of flagstone.
