-Planning is Human, implementing is divine-
BY: Nicolás Kersting
SYNTHESIS-
We must understand the gap between the utopian vision of urban planning and the dystopian reality of public spaces in Bolivia. Urban planning is full of good intentions and perfect designs, however, effective implementation remains a monumental challenge. The idea behind this work is to highlight the inertia and lack of real commitment to carry out those plans, underlining that while planning is a human act full of aspirations, implementing those plans requires an extraordinary, almost 'divine' effort. This contrast seeks to critique our complacency and resistance to change, questioning whether we are really willing to make the necessary effort to transform our cities into the utopias we imagine.
